New Kid And The Blocks
There is a new kid and a lot of blocks. Falling!
Help the kid to get above the blu line (or the top of the screen) to escape a level. To do that you must arrange the falling blocks, Tetris style, so that the kid can jump up on them. But don't let the blocks crush the kid! Or the blocks reach the top of the playfield...
There is a twist though - there are only three buttons to play with (the rules of the game jam) and they works as follows:
Arrow left/right:
Move the blocks left/right (if possible) but moves the kid in reverse direction!
Z
Rotates the falling block AND make the kid jump
Pressing left and right at the same time makes the blocks fall faster (but the timing of pressing/releasing must be frame perfect to avoid unwanted movement)
Pressing all three buttons at once will cause game over - might come handy if the kid gets stuck!
Press Z to start the game.
Known issues:
- The kid can sometimes end up in a block when falling and moving - just move away before the current falling block lands.
- The kid needs some extra space above his head to be able to jump AND move.

Good new game idea. Looks like Tetris, but it's not. I added it to my video along with other games released in May.
Funny and weird controls as first ... wanted to test on my C64U but I understand your point of view. Hope to see it soon.
Very nice game!
Thanks for the nice words, for playing and making a video. It is reaaly a proof of concept more than a game but, glad You liked it!
Great game, thanks.
Thanks for playing and making a video too!
Clever concept. Nice graphics. Also nice music as well.
Thank You! The three button rule of the game jam made the game play a bit too hard IMHO, but it is a challenge. The music is from another game of mine, Munchkin 64 by Pretzel Logic
Nice concept.
Thanks!
